Daring Cardmakers - 'Tweetie Pie'

The other day my mom was surfing the web for patterns for felt food she is making Gabrielle for her third birthday. She saw a card making blog on the list of search results, and decided to look at it. It was much like 'Friday Sketchers Challenge', that I have participated in before. It is called Daring Cardmakers.

My mom showed it to me the next morning, and I decided to try it out. I had so much fun, that I have decided to participate in this card making challenge each week instead of 'Friday Sketchers'.

I will sometimes do a Friday Sketchers, when I have extra card making time, but most of the time I will do this one.

Every week, Daring Cardmakers posts a challenge, for instance, they once had a challenge where they told you had to use something from your kitchen on your card, the one 'Design Team' lady used a real teabag in a teacup she had made out of card stock.

You are free to design absolutely any card, the only condition being that you incorporate that one criteria. I love to see how others have interpreted the criteria in such different and unique ways.

This week's challenge was 'Tweetie Pie', so your card had to have a bird somewhere on it.

Here is my card using birds:

It is an anniversary card.

I found the bird template off Stampin Inspirations, a lovely card-making blog. I glittered the birdie's wing.

I used three little hearts that I bought from the craft shop at Canal Walk.

I tied raffia around the card and tied a bow. I then printed out a label that says 'Happy Anniversary'

I used an eyelet for the birdies eyes.

My mom then drew little legs on the two birds.

And that is my card.

I enjoyed making this card so much! Daring Cardmakers is great fun!

Have a good week!

Blessings,
Kelly-Anne
