An Update on Baby Brother...

February has arrived, and the excitement of soon meeting our new sibling mounts by the day...
My mother is now 30 weeks along in her pregnancy, and the thrill of watching her stomach twist and jump as our little boy moves around within her is incredible...words cannot express the wonder of it...
Oh, the delight when we will finally see him face to face and behold this beautiful miracle which took nine long months to form in my mother's womb...

May I ask each of you, my Bible~believing readers, to continue to pray for mom...?
The days ahead are expected to become more and more uncomfortable for her as Baby Boy grows, and what with homeschooling little girls and running a large household, she finds each day tiring and challenging...pray for God to give her physical stamina and patience and above all...rest...

And please pray that our little one will continue to grow in health and that the Lord would bring peace to my mom's heart as she prepares herself for his approaching birth...
I do know that the Lord has her and this new blessing in His more than capable hands...this is a true comfort!

Of course it will be so wonderful to share a picture of our brother when he makes his grand entrance...{{smiles}}
Now we are thinking of all the things we still need to purchase and do before that wonderful day arrives...all boyish things this time, you know!  And we have a little corner allotted for his cot and changing area...hopefully we can have it ready in time!

This will be the third baby I will have written about on my blog, Rebekah being the first and then little Sofia...how swiftly time flies...cherishing each moment spent with them deep inside my heart!

With much dear love and thanks...

Mother's Day Flowers and Blessings

Beautiful flowers for our very precious mother...

~

"Praying mothers, teaching mothers, faithful mothers - the Church needs you.
She needs mothers who will crave children, and love them and bless them to be the warriors of the next generation.

Motherhood!  Blessed motherhood!
The time has come to once again sing the praises of this calling.
Though bloodied by the barbs of feminism, Christian motherhood will not be vanquished."

~ Mrs. Beal Phillips, Verses of Virtue

Dear Abby of Little Birdie Blessings has written a beautiful post called Mothers of Influence...  Do visit and be encouraged and blessed by a few of the many Proverbs 31 mothers who raised Godly men and women...

Praying each of my sweet readers have a special Mother's Day day being a blessing and being blessed!

In Which We Have Tea

One morning last week I accompanied my mother to town to do some grocery shopping and errand running...

We ended our busy morning out with a pleasant tea break at our favourite local tearoom...

Lovely apple crumble and ice cream beautifully presented...

I love this teacup; the design is so intricate and pretty...

The happy lady (yours truly) enjoying her rare morning out with Mom...

...I fell in love with this charming little milk jug!

Mom and I seldom go out to tea together, so this was a very special treat for us both...

My sisters and I often take turns to join Mom on her shopping trips as we enjoy the time we have alone with her, even if we do have to spend it helping her tick boxes off her grocery list!  We also enjoy learning by watching her, which in turn will benefit us when we’re older and having to run a household of our own.
But when we do have time to stop for a cup of coffee or a tea time treat, we really treasure it!

Mothers are so special and time spent with them so precious!

Hope all my readers are having a very blessed week!

Love,
Kelly-Anne

Today is Mother’s Day...

...To our very own darling ‘Marmee’,

Today your ‘Little Women’ rise up and bless you...

We are so privileged to have you in our lives.

Happy Mother's Day!

~ The clock struck six; and, having swept the hearth, Beth put a pair of slippers down to warm.  Somehow the sight of the old shoes had a good effect upon the girls; for Mother was coming, and everyone brightened to welcome her.  Excerpt from ‘Little Women’ by Louisa M. Alcott ~

Love to you and your dear mothers, sweet readers!

The Dear Love of a Mother

~ This post is dedicated to my loving mother and all the mothers of the world who serve God by serving their families ~

They are the saintly beings that carry us in their tender, loving arms from babe to toddler, and in their hearts from child through to young adult and beyond...

They are the hands that rock the cradles of the nation, the women who nurse and care for their little broods with very little recognition from the outside world...

They are the precious women we are blessed and privileged to call mother; the women each one of us ought to have by our sides cheering us on...

They are also the women who have daily struggles and battles; battles which perhaps we don’t see or understand, yet they see them through, crying out to the Lord in the wee hours of the night when up with a sickly baby...

They are the dear hearts who place the needs of their children above their own and praise the Lord even in times of doubt or despair, fear or sorrow...

They are the wonderful people who are shaped by their heavenly Father through their young ones.  Laugh lines make their faces shine...

...Without them - without their prayers, strength, love, support and patience, this world would be a dismal place indeed.

Mothers – what treasures they are, what jewels!  Mothers – they are human too, requiring help from the Holy One each moment of the day.
Mothers – how comforting and sweet that lovely word sounds to the ears!
Mothers – Oh, how we love them so!

Women who lay aside their own dreams and goals to raise their families in truth and love are rare finds and are worthy to be praised.  But how seldom to we hear their sacrificial love and tireless work being sung out from the rooftops...

Their work is often thankless, their tasks more often than not quite dull.  Yet they realise that their recognition and source of hope and strength comes from the One above and does not lie with this earth and all it has to offer.

We know they have their share of faults and shortcomings, but can any of us claim to not have any?  I know for certain that I cannot...sometimes I feel as if I fail every second of the day...  But we as their children love them anyway, just as they so dearly love us...even when we disobey or sadden them.

Let us join together and show our darling mothers just how much we love and appreciate them this coming Mother’s Day.  Please join me tomorrow in sharing a few simple ideas for ways you can bless your mother!
