2013... A year of trials and tribulations, but also a year of great blessing...
...Here are a few of the major things that took place in 2013...
I turned sixteen years old and celebrated with a lovely vintage tea party.
We began music lessons - Nancy with violin and me with treble recorder.
Izzie and I won the ‘best trick’ section of our local dog show...
I was able to buy my first ‘real’ camera! I love every moment of using it!
I celebrated four years of blogging about beautiful girlhood: cooking, family, gardening, serving Jesus and crafting...
We had to say goodbye to our very dear friend, Aunty Chris who left South Africa for England. We already miss her so much!
We girls surprised Mom with a lovely Mother’s Day Brunch!
Nancy, Beth and I were able to accompany my dad who had to attend a course in Cape Town and visit with my grandparents and my dear friend.
Mom became pregnant with another baby but miscarried at 11 weeks. This was a very difficult time, but the Lord helped us through it and comforted our sore hearts...
I bought a cello and began taking lessons.
One of my dreams was to play music in church and I feel blessed to say that dream was fufilled - we played ‘Canon in D’ and ‘Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring’ in church with our music teacher and a few other young musicians – Nancy on the violin and me on the cello.
We expanded our vegetable garden and got our own chickens!
We started sewing our own clothing and Mom got a new sewing machine (one that can keep up with all our sewing needs).
Nancy and I played in two other music concerts and received a little trophy for all the hard work we put into our music throughout the year! I'm so thankful to the Father for allowing us to be involved with music!
May you all have a very blessed 2014!
