Thursday Pearls

"I enjoy doing housework, ironing, washing, cooking, dishwashing. Whenever I get one of those questionaires and they ask what is your profession, I always put down housewife. It's an admirable profession, why apologize for it. You aren't stupid because you're a housewife. When you're stirring the jam you can read Shakespeare."

~ Tasha Tudor

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men..."

~ Colossians 3:23, KJV

Now I'll be the first to admit that I haven't read Shakespeare while stirring jam, but maybe that's a feat I need to try, lol! I hope you are having a blessed day in the midst of the home duties that you are busy with, and that the sweet blessings of the Lord are with you today! :)

Love this! I am a housewife and proud of it! It's sad our society doesn't value it as a profession anymore.

Have a wonderful weekend!

What a great quote! We should never underestimate how much knowledge, wisdom, and skill it takes to be a successful and godly housewife. Just because it is not a "paying profession" does not mean it is not a necessary one with fruitful and rewarding results.

Thanks for sharing, Kelly!
