One Misty Morning...

As I sit and write this today, the beautiful rain that has been replenishing the earth, dry and dusty from lack of water, has ceased pouring for the time being...
A thick mist has settled, and the temperature has risen a little...  It has been so cold these past few days!

The pine cones we picked up in the forest a few weeks ago have certainly come in handy as firelighters, and the wood cut here on the farm means we can feed the fire all day long, if we choose to...

I am truly humbled at how good our God is to us, His precious children...  He always provides for us.

Yes...with the first of June comes the cold, but delightful season of Winter...

It has been raining since Sunday afternoon, and I am glad that I took the dogs for a nice long walk in the forest in the morning, for it seems that the wet weather will be here for a few days...
Perhaps I will be able to venture out in between showers for some fresh air and exercise...

In the meantime, I am hoping to do a little card making for a certain little lady's sixth birthday, as well as some more delightful sewing...
There is also a cake in need of baking, as well as biscuits for the girls to decorate.

I was hoping to share pictures of my finished sewing project yesterday, but such gloomy weather means taking photographs is quite impossible...  I love natural lighting, but if the rain doesn't clear up in the next few days, I will have to take some pictures inside, for I know you are all very interested to see what it is I have been busy with:)

*Photographs of the different views from our patio, and of the flowers in our little garden...

Have a beautiful day in the Lord, dear friends and a very happy June to you!
Thank you so much for stopping by...your visits are always much appreciated!

~ Blessings ~

Oh, Kelly-Anne, this is beautiful. We've been having rainy weather here too, and we're just heading into summer! It's hard sometimes to be thankful for the sun AND the rain. ;-)

Have a lovely day!

What a beautiful post! Your pictures of the rain are amazing, you have talent in capturing the beauty of the Lord for us to enjoy :) It is raining here today as well, and it is always nice to know that after the rain, when the sun comes out, that such wondrous beauty will abound even more. I enjoyed your pictures of the flowers so much... glad to have met you and your beautiful blog :)

Beautiful photos! The mist is so pretty. :) It's strange to think that June brings you winter, as it brings me summer! Perhaps we can enjoy memories of the other season in each others photos. ;)
Great verse choice for today's post!

The rainy weather has it's own beauty. And it's nice to always have lots of things to do regardless of the weather. It's not quite so hot here today so I am going to make a homemade pizza tonight. Sweet hugs, Diane

Hi Kelly-Anne. I enjoy a misty, rainy day occasionally. Especially when the weather is cool. It is very difficult to get a good, clear photo indoors on such days, though! I will be anxious for you to share your sewing and baking with us. Hope you and the dogs have an opportunity to get out for another walk soon!

Oh my Keppy-Anne! You do have lovely views from your home! These photos are absolutely gorgeous. We have had our fair share of rain recently as well. It has stormed 3 out of the last 5 days. We've been getting 2-3 inches of rain each time. Much needed though, so I'm not complaining! Hope you're having a delightful week my friend. I look forward to seeing your project...:)

Hugs, Vicky

Such beautiful photography, Kelly-Anne, and I too love the mist in the distance and the beautiful foliage where you live! What beautiful landscape as well. It's hard for me to grasp true winter here in South Florida, and some ask me whether I miss winter (hehe...no!). But I do love seeing photos. And what a delight to read what you've been doing and so glad to hear you were able to have the dogs get in some good exercise. What are those lovely tall flowers? Beautiful color! And I look forward to seeing your card for that special six-year-old, along with your quilt project when the sunlight comes out! Thanks for another beautiful visit, dear friend! Hugs and love!

Oh Kelly-Anne, these photos are magnificent. You are surrounded by incredible natural beauty. So serene and peaceful.

It's been cold and very damp around here too. Feels more like early fall than the beginning of summer. But it is always a blessing to have rain for our grass and flowers.

Thank you for your beautiful comment sweet friend. It is always a pleasure to read your comments. They always lift my spirits. I have not received your parcel yet but I am sure it will arrive soon. I can't wait to receive your pretty gift.

Hugs,

Janet

Oh these photos are GORGEOUS! I too love taking photos with natural light, (I absolutely despise the flash) but I suppose I should broaden my horizons a bit...
