Thoughtful Thursday

"A friendship does not grow up spontaneously.
It must have a good soil in which to take root, good seed
from which to start, and care and cultivation in order to become its best.
The good soil is sincerity and truth, coupled with kindness and affection.
The good seed is love and apprectiation.
And it must be watched closely that no weeds of jealousy or envy creep in,
and the soil must be constantly stirred by kind acts, words
of appreciation and affection, and mutual admiration.
There dare be no selfish interests nor evil suspicions in true friendship.
The smallest bit of mistrust will blight it like frost.
Friendship is tnder, but beautiful."

Wishing you a very blessed Thursday, dearest readers!

Oh, I so love that Scripture! We had our small group last night and were talking about friendship and how much we value it. We can be transparent and love each other in spite of our differences and flaws. And it does take care and cultivation with love and kindness. So beautifully said by Mabel! I cherish you, dear friend!

Beautiful! So blessed by these thoughts you have shared, especially at a time when I am pondering the blessings and aspects of friendship that make it such a treasure, that God would allow us such rich relationships with the companions we can call true and wonderful friends. I am so thankful for childhood friends, new friends, old friends, blogging friends, sisters in Christ like you. It is a joy to read these words and see their reflection of the way the bible portrays a good friendship♥ And that painting brought me so much cheer, how lovely it is.

Hugs and blessings to you always!
Wishing you a beautiful day :)
