Fabric Happiness and Reindeer...

Happy August, dear readers!
After taking some lovely time off in July to visit sweet friends, I think it is high time I begin working in earnest on my fabric reindeer in preparation for the Christmas season...

I spend about three hours on each reindeer, and sew the paw pads and antlers whilst sitting at the market on a Saturday morning...this is a lovely way to pass the time and do something constructive while watching my stall...

Here are two of the sweet reindeers I recently finished...

 ~
I have hopes of updating the Heartmade blog sometime in the week ahead, so do stay 'posted' for a glimpse of a few of the creations we've been busy with lately...
You will also be able to 'meet' the reindeer, which are such a lovely additon to Heartmade
and a true pleasure to make...

~
My fabric stash was looking quite sad, so I paid a quick visit to our local quilting shop and fell in love with these gorgeous fabrics...oh!  I simply can't wait to begin creating...

Beautiful pink fabric with a vintagey feel...I love the faded roses...

Some cheerful green fabric...I love the happy design!

...And I simply could not resist these lovelies...happy sigh...

Thus, my sewing machine is going to be quite busy in the week ahead, so if things are somewhat quiet here over the next few days, you will know why...

~ Blessings to you, dearest readers ~

Oh, Kelly-Anne, these reindeer are absolutely precious! I love the fabrics you've chosen for them, and your handwork looks perfect! What a wonderful way to "while" away the time at your market stall. Such loveliness. I see you have an eye for fine fabric, and (I must say) you certainly are causing me to go and touch some beautiful fabric I still have. I've donated much of my quilting stash to a local guild who will make quilts, pillows, and wheelchair/walker pockets for the elderly and children. I know they will be loved. And these precious reindeer will be dearly loved as well. I look forward to seeing what you make with the new fabric! Hugs, sweet friend! (And thanks for the sigh and urge to touch my own remaining stash!!)

Oh Kelly-Anne! These are so adorable. You are so talented! I can see these being quite popular during the Christmas season! I love all the fabrics you purchased as well. They are all just lovely, but the faded roses is my favorite. I can't wait to see what you stitch using these lovelies! I hope you are having a delightful weekend. My daughter is safely in the Czech Republic and I am grateful for your prayers. It has been raining here all day and has flooded in lots of surrounding areas here. Thankfully we are high and dry, but others have not been so fortunate. Blessings my sweet friend!

Hugs, Vicky

Oh my goodness...those reindeer are so adorable! I didn't know you had a market stall..I do that with my glass, it's fun isn't it? Are you selling your beautiful sewn creations?
Kelly-Anne you are the first person to mention Christmas 2015, that I know of anyway.
You're wise to begin now, and it'll be much more relaxing that way.
I'm sure those reindeer will jump off your stall in no time :)

These Reindeer are absolutely adorable. I would love having one in my home. I have several reindeer items I put out at Christmas and these would be so sweet to include as part of the holiday.

Those reindeer are so adorable! I love all the fabric you picked too! I can see why you want to sew...

I don't sew, but maybe one day I'll have the desire too. Ha! I do love picking out fabric and then I ask my mom in law to make me an apron and sometimes curtains. I am needing, well wanting new curtains in my kitchen, so I might have to go looking for some country fabric here real soon... my kitchen is red and I'm thinking changing it with a rustic country theme. Right now I have a paisley pattern. I love anything paisley! You've got me all inspired, Kelly-Anne!!
I hope you get lots sewed! Have a lovely week!
