Thoughtful Thursday

"Christian contentment is that sweet, inward, quiet, gracious frame of spirit, which freely submits to and delights in God's wise and fatherly disposal in every condition."

~ Jeremiah Burroughs

~ I have learned, in whatever state I am, therewith to be content.  Phillipians 4:11. ~

A beautiful quote and I love the artwork. Autumn is my favorite time of the year and even as a child, I loved driving to the northern part of our state to visit the apple orchards in Autumn. I am blessed, now, to live within minutes of those apple orchards! Wishing you many blessings.

I am reading Jeremiah Burrough's book, "The Rare Jewel Of Christian Contentment" this is the book your quote is from:)
Ashleigh bought it as a gift for me. I am really enjoying it.
Have a blessed day sweetie!

Oh, dearest Kelly-Anne, what a sweet, sweet quote and a precious one indeed! Oh, that I would be sweeter and more gracious and filled with His Spirit...every moment. What a joy to always be in His presence...the greatest of gifts! And then realizing that, we would be content! Blessings, precious friend! Love, Cheryl xoxo

so lovely. I love the art and the peace of these words. I have forwarded it to a dear friend who's father has not yet woken from the surgery he had on his brain on Tuesday (in Los Angeles, CA, USA). Thank you for posting. ~Heather

"Godliness with contentment is great gain "
I pray God will teach my heart this more and more. Contentment in His will brings blessed peacefulness...
As always thanks for the encouragement♥
